Ingredients

100 grsCream cheese (Philadelphia)
250 grsSemisweet chocolate (powder)
65 grsPowdered sugar
1/2 teaspoonVanilla extract

Instructions

Gather all ingredients. Make sure you have all the ingredients measured out and ready to go before you start cooking. This will help to ensure a smooth and efficient cooking process.

Melt the chocolate in a double boiler. Fill the bottom pot of a double boiler with water and bring it to a simmer. Place the chopped chocolate in the top pot and stir until melted and smooth. This will create a uniform chocolate base for the truffles.

Stir the melted chocolate. Once the chocolate is melted, remove the top pot from the double boiler and stir the chocolate.

Combine cream cheese and powdered sugar. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until light and fluffy.

Add vanilla extract. Add the vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture and beat until well combined. This will enhance the flavour of the truffles with a warm and inviting vanilla note.

Combine chocolate and cream cheese mixtures. Pour the melted chocolate into the cream cheese mixture and stir until well combined.

Refrigerate the truffle mixture. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or until firm. This will allow the truffle mixture to solidify and make it easier to shape the truffles.

Prepare the coconut and cocoa. Place the shredded coconut and cocoa powder in separate shallow bowls. These will be used to coat the finished truffles.

Shape the truffles. Once the truffle mixture is firm, use your hands to roll small portions of the dough into balls.

Coat the truffles. Roll each truffle in either shredded coconut or cocoa powder until evenly coated.

Serve and enjoy. Arrange the finished truffles on a platter or serving plate.
